A 7-year-old-boy makes his life all about positive energy and creates care packages for the elderly

After facing bullying at school, rather than internalizing the pain, the spirited 7-year-old Cavanaugh Bell from Maryland decided to channel his energy into something positive instead.

Initially funded by his own savings of $600, Cavanaugh started out by assembling and distributing care packages filled with food and toiletries for his elderly neighbors. Xiulin Ruan, one of the study’s authors, said the paint has a significant amount of cooling power that can offset the majority of the air conditioning needs for typical buildings. This way, the new paint has the potential to meaningfully cut the carbon footprint of a building.
